For Teachers
eSpark is a differentiated, playfully personalized supplemental curriculum resource for PreK-8 math and reading . Unlike other programs with a similar scope, eSpark also uses the power of generative AI to tailor individual lessons to each students’ personal backgrounds and interests, a massive breakthrough in personalized learning. With eSpark, students learn at their own pace on independent adaptive pathways and teachers can assign pre-packaged Small Group Skills lessons to easily target specific standards and skills. You can browse many of eSpark’s activities here.
eSpark is built on the unique concept of “playful personalization,” a blend of play-based learning, choice-driven lesson design, and explicit instruction that keeps students coming back for more. You can see this vision brought to life in the all-new Choice Texts and Choice Math activities found throughout eSpark’s curriculum, in which students leverage the power of AI in a safe and secure way to build reading passages and word problems based on their interests. Learn more about Choice Texts here.

eSpark works on most classroom devices with an internet connection and web browser, including iPads, Chromebooks, laptops, and desktops. Learn more about supported devices and operating systems here.
Most commonly, we see eSpark used as a center — students work independently in the program while teachers meet with a separate small group. eSpark is versatile enough to complement any combination of core and supplemental instructional resources and can be used for enrichment, intervention, and acceleration as needed. Learn more about popular eSpark implementation models here.
The eSpark teacher dashboard provides information on what your students are working on, what they’ve accomplished, and how they’re progressing on their path to standards mastery. Teachers also receive weekly emails with progress data, suggestions for intervention/remediation, and celebrations of student success. Learn more about eSpark’s data and reporting features here.

Yes! eSpark’s Theory of Learning is grounded in seven research-based pillars that are directly linked to improved student outcomes. This happens in a variety of ways. If you use NWEA Map Growth or Renaissance Star Assessments, we can set starting points for students based on their most recent results. If not, students will automatically take a placement quiz before they begin in eSpark to determine their appropriate starting point in each math and reading domain. Learn more about eSpark’s adaptive path here.
When your teachers sign up for eSpark, they automatically get a 30-day trial of eSpark Premium before being downgraded to eSpark Lite. Teachers on eSpark Lite can continue using the adaptive pathway with their students, but they lose access to Small Group Skills, Choice Texts, reports, and our proactive alerts and intervention recommendations. That’s where you come in. Bring the magic of eSpark to your school or district and experience the cultural shift that comes with engagement you can feel and results you can see.
